One of the most maddening feelings in the world: You eat salads, say no to dessert, avoid soda (even that new diet stuff), and follow everything you think you’re supposed to do–but the scale just won’t budge. If this resonates with you, then the problem generally isn’t your effort or your discipline. But rather an absence of a true plan revolving around you.

Healthy Isn’t Always Personalized

Wording that is generic, like “eat clean,” apparently, sounds good on paper; however, we forget that everyone’s metabolism rate and activity level are all completely different, as are our stress levels and what we do in a day. What works well for one can be a total blocker for another.

This is where a certified nutrition coach can come in handy; someone who looks at your actual habits, your portions, your cravings and all the things you do on a day-to-day basis instead of giving you a sheet of paper printed with what to eat and sending you on your way.

Building a Plan That Actually Fits You

A custom weight loss program, such as one that considers your work schedule, food preferences and eating habits, activity levels, preferences for exercise or even the foods you actually enjoy eating is one that yields real results over the long term. It is not a plan if it is something you cannot keep; it’s merely a countdown to giving up!

Nutrition coaching is also best when combined with systematized training, particularly in tandem with an individual trainer for weight-loss who can tune your exercise program along the way (as your habits and energy levels improve). Combined, they form the type of consistency that will promote fat loss, not spurts of motivation that die off after a few weeks.

Eating healthier food can be a great foundation, but success will rely on having a structured plan, accountability, and professional advice to make sure you are going down the right path.

Perfection is NOT the goal, which is why our nutrition coaching at ELITE Fitness Alliance focuses on how you live instead of restrictive rules that you can’t sustain.

I am not sure what they were trying to say with this sentence?  maybe best to just remove it

what point are they trying to make here?  Maybe I can write something better if I understand what they want to say?
